Orient House IV

This renovation began with an existing 1970s modern house situated on the edge of a north facing bluff overlooking the Long Island Sound. Though renovated to Passive House standards of construction, the north facing windows prevented it from meeting Passive House certification. Nevertheless at the time of completion this house is probably the second-most energy efficient structure on Long Island, after it's accompanying artist's studio.
