NoVo Foundation

The NoVo Foundation bought a vacant, former industrial building in Downtown Brooklyn to serve as their new headquarters after they outgrew their Manhattan offices. The four story 1920s structural concrete building needed to be completely renovated and have a fifth floor added. In keeping with the Foundation's ethos it was decided that the building would be retrofitted to the highest energy efficiency standards. They also set a goal to have a construction workforce which consisted of at least 30% women.
